  Lala Akindoju has said she wishes Nigerian youths will give as much energy to politics as they give to Big Brother Naija.   The actress said young people have to "do more to fight for our country". She added that she wishes young people will register and vote for elections with as much energy as they use in voting for BBNaija housemates.

  Nollywood actress, Yetunde Modinatu Bakare has shared her thoughts on religion after converting from Islam to Christianity.   The actress, who said she was born and brought up as a Muslim, disclosed that she converted for reasons best known to her. She added that connection with God matters more than religion.    Yetunde wrote:

In Nigeria, added to the well-known hazards, we have assaults from patient relatives added! A female Dr was slapped and stabbed with a syringe (of unknown origin) in our Children's Emergency by the patient's father.   Iretiola Doyle is upset with social media critics and has taken to her Twitter handle to vent.   In a tweet posted this afternoon, the award-winning thespian slammed ''talentless twats'' who come on social media to dismiss the works of creative people as trash. Describing them as people with ''miserable directionless lives, she wrote;

  Blue-eyed Kwara woman, Risikat Azeez, appears to have made peace with her husband Wasiu Omo-Dada, as they teamed up for a lovely photoshoot recently.   Riskiat went viral a few weeks ago after a Twitter user shared her story online. Risikat, in an interview, said her husband walked out on her and their daughters because of their blue-eyes. The husband, however, was granted another interview where he denied abandoning them because of the colour of their eyes. The first lady of Kwara state, Olufolake Abdulrasaq, last week revealed that Risikat had asked to be reunited with her husband.   All appears to be well with them now as the couple teamed up to take some beautiful photos.   An accident victim allegedly wants to file a lawsuit against a doctor for giving him blood to revive him.   The man was reportedly taken to the hospital after he suffered an accident that nearly cost him his life.   The doctor on duty did a blood transfusion to save him and he soon regained consciousness.    He was upset when he found out he was given blood and he has threatened to sue the doctor for doing something that is against his faith.   The revelation led to an argument on Twitter after one user said the doctor should have respected his faith. Others asked how the doctor would have known that his faith doesn't permit blood transfusion when the man was unconscious and couldn't object.    

  A Nigerian man has told Cardi B that Jesus isn't the reason for her career success.   He said this in reaction to a tweet shared by Cardi.   Cardi, while reacting to the huge success of her latest song, WAP, wrote: "When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no."     And a Nigerian man responded, stating that Jesus saying yes is not the reason for Cardi's success because her music doesn't glorify God.   He added that Jesus "doesn't roll with that."  

  Veteran Yoruba actress Grace Oyin-Adejobi, popularly known as Iya Osogbo, will officially retire from acting when she clocks 90 on Sunday, August 23. Iya Osogbo is the widow of the late Yoruba actor Oyin Adejobi who died in 2000. During an appearance on a radio magazine programme on Space 90.1FM, Parrot Extra Hour on Radio, anchored by Olayinka Agboola in Ibadan, Oyo State, Iya Osogbo said she started her acting career some 67 years ago. She noted that she had already made her name before she acted in the movie  Eran Iya Osogbo  contrary to beliefs. The actress spoke for the first time about the day an excited fan nearly ran her car over her in Ibadan. She said the experience has remained indelible in her memory. “The fan eventually came down from her car to let me know that she merely wanted to exchange greetings with me.   Over the weekend, Nollywood actress  Omotola Jolade-Ekehind e sent her fans into a worry state after announcing that she contracted the dreaded coronavirus disease, covid-19. In a post she made on her Instagram page, the mother of four, Omotola Ekeinde wrote that many of her fans must have been wondering about her whereabouts these past few weeks.   4 Actress Kate Henshaw has revealed that there is a notification that celebrities are getting paid to say that there COVID-19 in Nigeria The actress started doing this after she announced that she had taken a COVID-19 test. “Just took my COVID test. Mehn it is uncomfortable make I no lie. I was already in tears cos this @NseIkpeE tim  told me it was painful. The lady was nice & gentle sha. Told me 2 take a deep breath while she stuck the swab stick deep inside my nose and take a deep breath”, she tweeted. Her announcement was met with a claim by someone on Instagram that celebrities who say COVID-19 is real have been paid to propagate such. Kate Henshaw responded: “Some1 now commented on my IG saying” all these celebrities that have been paid to say there is Covid, God will judge you ” If I land am better curse now shay they will say Kate has started again inside blogs.   Bola Aseyan, a medical doctor who accused popular Twitter user Dr Olufunmilayo of rape, has insisted that he is guilty and she released "receipts".   Dr Olufunmilayo had released a rebuttal after Dr Bola Aseyan accused him of rape. In his statement, he said he had consensual sex with Dr Bola twice after they met on Twitter in 2019.    Narrating how the sex happened, Olufunmilyo said he and Dr Bola met in person after her visa application came through and she moved to the UK. He said they drank red wine and later had sex. Olufunmilayo said Bola later sent him a voice note saying she did not give consent to the sex and demanded an "apology" which Dr Olufunmilayo said felt awkward because "they both took alcohol and sex happened."   Bola is stating that this isn't the case.
