Toyin Abraham, Rita Dominic, others pray as Omotola Ekeinde tests positive to covid-19

 

Over the weekend, Nollywood actress Omotola Jolade-Ekehinde sent her fans into a worry state after announcing that she contracted the dreaded coronavirus disease, covid-19.

In a post she made on her Instagram page, the mother of four, Omotola Ekeinde wrote that many of her fans must have been wondering about her whereabouts these past few weeks.

She further revealed that she contracted coronavirus and she has been in isolation ever since.


She wrote:

Hello All, I know Most of you Have been Wondering where I’ve been.
Well, i Contracted Covid. I have been ill , in Isolation and Now getting better. More on the details of this soon.
However, I have been Reading on the devastating News of How our Youths are Needlessly Dieing getting crushed by Trailers/containers ! This is disheartening and has made my heart really troubled ! This can happen to ANYONE and Enforcements can’t be taken lightly on this
Thanks for your All Love and prayers as I recover fully, Nigeria Needs to #GetBusy !


She further wrote

“Dear Friends, I struggled with going public with this, but I had No peace and I believe this is what God wants me to do, so I hope his will be done.

“People who know me are all shocked as I’m one of the Most Careful who kept really safe. What then happened? Well, I got this on a Set. A Movie set. So please, I am speaking to you all out of love, please we need to be extra careful now,” she wrote.

Her colleagues in the entertainment industry have now reached out and sent her messages to encourage her.

Toyin Abraham wrote “Awwww, get well soon maami I love you”

Mo Abudu wrote “Sweetheart pele. Wishing you better. All my love”

Rita Dominic wrote “Oh nooo.. get well soon hun”

Lilian Bach wrote “So sorry dear. I pray that Jehovah rapha perfects your healing in Jesus name.”

Kemi Filani News recalls that just last month, Veteran actress, Omotola Jalade took to Instagram to appreciate her husband, Captain Ekehinde for flying a private jet to bring their children home from abroad.

According to the mother of four, airport closure due to coronavirus pandemic restricted her children from coming home. The husband, who is also a pilot, took it upon himself to get a private jet to go and get his children.
