Update: Police arrest officer who allegedly shot couple’s car in Lagos

The Lagos state police command has arrested the police officer who allegedly fired a gunshot at a moving vehicle of a couple with their children inside at the Central Business District, Dr Nurudeen Olowopopo Way, in front of Japaul House, Ikeja, Lagos state on Sunday, July 26.   LIB earlier shared the viral video of the damaged car of the couple after the police officer allegedly shot at it.   Twitter user @ewejeoyewole, shared the video online and said the wife of the man who was riding the car, fainted shortly after the officer fired the gunshot that shattered the glass of their car. The police officer dressed in a Mobile Police outfit was seen brandishing an AK 47 gun. 16-year-old girl is thrown to her death from an 11th-floor apartment 'by her uncle after she spoke out against his abuse'

A 16-year-old girl has tragically died after her uncle allegedly threw her from an 11th floor apartment in Tehran, Iran.   The victim, Fatemeh Ghozat was allegedly beaten and then murdered by her uncle Mojtaba Namdar after speaking out against his abuse on May 22.    Fatemeh's heartbroken mom, Bariha Rahmani, who witnessed the alleged incident told Iran International TV that Mojtaba threw her daughter out of a window from an 11th-floor apartment in the Shahrah-e Aseman neighbourhood of Parand in southeast Tehran.   Speaking out after Ghozat was released on bail just two weeks after the incident, Bariha said: 'He threw my girl out of the window in front of my eyes, and then placed her body in my hands. 'He has now been released on bail and walks free. A woman has cried out for justice after her brother suffered a horrific accident at work that cost his life. The woman said her brother worked for a steel industrial company in Amuwo Odofin but occupational hazard led to his death. She further alleged that the company is trying to cover up her brother’s death and she asked Nigerians to help her get justice for her brother. Sharing a photo of her brother before the accident, she wrote:- “I lost my brother yesterday (July 16) to an accident at work,he works with saba steel industrial company at amuwo odofin we were not told what happened until we got to hospital his corpse was not shown to us until we start fighting with people from the company this is my brother before.” She then shared graphic photos of her brother after the accident and wrote: “The accident we were told it was a minor accident on his arm when we got to the hospital with plenty fight and shouting we were allowed to see our brother this was what we saw my brother head w...
