Lady crushed to death in Lagos few months to her wedding

  A beautiful Nigerian lady Immaculate Okochu has been crushed to death in Lagos by a truck just hours after she posted an ominous note on her Facebook page. Okochu, who was planning to wed in October, was the store manager of Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria in Apapa. On 11 August, she plastered several photos of herself and wrote: “Been a while you saw me”. It proved to be her dreamy way of saying goodbye, like Jesus of Nazareth. Her last post before then was on 6 July when she offered some apparels for sale and asked her fans to DM her. On 12 August, she also posted a selfie, wearing a yellow dress as she left her home. She didn’t return home. Her Facebook page has been inundated with condolences by her fans and relations. Idongesit Obot wrote: “Hmmmmmmm it’s really well o, rest in peace dear, only God can console your family, I don’t know you, but I heard the incident yesterday from my friend .. What a life!!!!!!”. Tozzmann Young Flex also wrote: Rest In Peace Immaculate Okochu.

Tanker accident kills woman in Mile 2, Lagos (graphic photo)

  A woman was killed in a lone accident involving a tanker in Mile 2, Lagos.   The incident occurred at about 5:30am on Friday, August 7, near the Nigerian Army Signal Barracks.   The tanker was laden with 55,000 litres of premium motor spirit.     The recovery of Tanker is still ongoing and this has caused heavy traffic.   A spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident on Friday.   He noted that emergency responders were at the scene of the incident.     “LASEMA Response Team is at Mile 2, inward the Nigerian Army Signal Barracks, in recovery operation of a fully-loaded Oil Tanker conveying 55,000 litres of petrol involved in a lone accident which killed a female adult,” he added.  

25-year-old mom and her twin sons found dead inside car

A Georgia mother and her twin sons were found dead inside a car submerged in a pond.   25-year-old ShaQuia Philpot and her 10-month-old sons, Caysen and Cassius Williams, were found after a fisherman spotted the vehicle at Mayor’s Pond in Augusta on Friday afternoon, July 24. Relatives told authorities that the family lived in Hephzibah but investigators did not disclose how the vehicle ended up in the pond in Augusta.   Their autopsies will be conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to determine an official cause of death. Philpot’s mother, Myrtis Wright Bennett, confirmed their deaths in a Facebook post that reads: “The Lord only loan my daughter ShaQuia Philpot to me for 25 years my twins grandson Cassius and Caysen William for 10 months. “Lord, I didn’t know that you were going to call them home on July 24, 2020. Trailer Loses Control, Crushes A Bus Along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway (Graphic Pics

At least two people were said to have lost their lives earlier this evening, along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway (directly under the pedestrian bridge in Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos State), when a driver lost control of his trailer as it fell and crushed a parked danfo (almost filled with passengers) beside it. Passers by were quick to help evacuate the injured n unconscious passengers from the crushed bus but as at the time of delivery long this report, two of the passengers lay mangled n stone dead on the road. Eye witnesses said the trailer driver took his heels on realizing what happened. Surprisingly, two of the passengers were said to have been rescued unhurt. Though the pictures you see are graphic, kindly assist in identifying and reaching out to these victims families of you know them. Will keep you posted as developments unfold.

UNIBEN LECTURER DEAD AFTER BEEN HIT BY A COMMERCIAL BUS CHASED BY POLICE MEN

A lecturer at the University of Benin in Edo State, Dr Stella Okotie, was on Monday night crushed to death at the university’s main gate. It was gathered that the accident happened when policemen attached to Ugbowo Division were pursuing a commercial bus in a bid to extort some money from the driver. This led to a physical struggle between the driver and the policemen for the wheels. While struggling, the bus driver ran into Dr Okotie, who was standing by the main gate The deceased, who was a lecturer at the Faculty of Education, was standing with her husband, Dr Williams Okotie, also a staff of the institution and their son, Ochuko, when the incident happened. Calls placed to the victim’s husband for comments went unanswered.

SAD - RECENTLY PASS OUT NYSC DOCTOR DIES IN A FATAL ACCIDENT

A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry. Urey was said to have ‘struggled’ with medical school and finally got out successfully. Friends and family members have taken to social media to pen tributes to her.

A woman has cried out for justice after her brother suffered a horrific accident at work that cost his life. The woman said her brother worked for a steel industrial company in Amuwo Odofin but occupational hazard led to his death. She further alleged that the company is trying to cover up her brother’s death and she asked Nigerians to help her get justice for her brother. Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announces the unfortunate demise of flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who died on, 14 July 2020, as a result of head injuries sustained from a road traffic accident at NAF base in Kaduna. Until her death, Flying Officer Arotile, who was commissioned into the NAF in September 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64, was the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the service.
