T.I ADVISES KANYE WEST TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION

American rapper, T.I has called out Kanye West for his recent statement during the presidential hopeful’s first campaign rally in South Carolina.

Kanye West during his first campaign rally said “Harriet Tubman never really freed the slaves, but just brought the slaves to work for other White people.”

Tubman was an American abolitionist who escaped and made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people before her death.

His comment has since stirred reactions from Americans on social media.

T.I, reacting on his Instagram page, asked Kanye to seek medical attention or provide a logical explanation for his statement on Monday.

His post read:-

“No we cannot let you do that Ye. “What WE NOT gon do is slander nor disrespect the legacy of our heroic Queen Harriet Tubman by telling falsities in an attempt to discredit the contributions she made to Liberate our people because you buggin!According to him, Kanye went too far and blacks would not take any disrespect from him.

”This is absolutely too far, I truly hope you either have a logical explanation for all this or get the medical attention you so desperately need Bro. I say this with love and sincerity.”

Police arrest men for violating COVID-19 curfew, then lock him up in a crowded cell

Taking to social media, some Nigerian man in Lagos state, lamented about their experience at the police cell. According to them, they were arrested for flouting the 10pm curfew put in place by the Federal government to curb the spread of  COVID-19  in the state. According to the men, there was heavy traffic in Lagos on Wednesday, so they couldn’t beat the curfew hour. The police officers enforcing the traffic in Ikeja arrested them and threw them in a crowded cell where none of the COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing was observed. Twitter user, Osinaike Joseph, who shared videos from the cell, alleged that the police officers refused to release some of them who were visibly sick. They accused the police of demanding bribe from them before their release. 25-year-old mom and her twin sons found dead inside car

A Georgia mother and her twin sons were found dead inside a car submerged in a pond.   25-year-old ShaQuia Philpot and her 10-month-old sons, Caysen and Cassius Williams, were found after a fisherman spotted the vehicle at Mayor’s Pond in Augusta on Friday afternoon, July 24. Relatives told authorities that the family lived in Hephzibah but investigators did not disclose how the vehicle ended up in the pond in Augusta.   Their autopsies will be conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to determine an official cause of death. Philpot’s mother, Myrtis Wright Bennett, confirmed their deaths in a Facebook post that reads: “The Lord only loan my daughter ShaQuia Philpot to me for 25 years my twins grandson Cassius and Caysen William for 10 months. “Lord, I didn’t know that you were going to call them home on July 24, 2020. Over 4,000 couples who have applied to be wedded at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry in Lagos State will have to wait for some time to put a legal seal on their union.

The PUNCH learnt that the Ministry of Interior, which runs the marriage registry, had ordered the suspension of weddings since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However,  findings by our correspondent showed that those who could wait were being given the option of “change of venue” at an extra cost of between N30,000 and N50,000. According to an applicant, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, the “change of venue” option entails that the couple will name a place of their choice where the registry officials will come to conduct the wedding. The applicant said he had applied to be wedded at the registry since early June and after paying the official N33,000 and filling all the required forms, he got an email informing him that his oath taking would be on June 14, while the wedding would be June 15. Trailer Loses Control, Crushes A Bus Along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway (Graphic Pics

At least two people were said to have lost their lives earlier this evening, along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway (directly under the pedestrian bridge in Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos State), when a driver lost control of his trailer as it fell and crushed a parked danfo (almost filled with passengers) beside it. Passers by were quick to help evacuate the injured n unconscious passengers from the crushed bus but as at the time of delivery long this report, two of the passengers lay mangled n stone dead on the road. Eye witnesses said the trailer driver took his heels on realizing what happened. Surprisingly, two of the passengers were said to have been rescued unhurt.
