A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry.   Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei,  the acting Managing Director of the Expanded Interim Management Committee, EIMC of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, says he is shocked that some Nigerians thought he was acting when he fainted while testifying before a House of Representatives public hearing on the alleged financial recklessness of the commission on July 20. Pondei  shocked Nigerians including the lawmakers when he slumped  during the hearing. Pondei passed out after he failed to defend the N1.3 billion he approved to provide COVID-19 palliative for members of the Commission. He also could not defend the N640 million he approved to one clear point communications limit.  He was being asked about the money meant for students on scholarships when he passed out. Nigerian students are now beggars in the UK- Abike Dabiri-Erewa asks NDDC to pay Nigerian students their scholarship allowances and fees

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, has appealed to the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to pay the allowances, tuition, and other incentives of students on its scholarship scheme in the United Kingdom as most of them have turned to beggars on the streets of the UK.   During the recent National Assembly probe of the NDDC, it was revealed that Nigerian students awarded scholarships to some universities in the United Kingdom, have been abandoned by the commission as they have not received a dime in allowance or school fees from the commission. A video of the scene has been making the rounds on social media in which the lady and her team of fetish priests are seen standing outside of the bank premises together with other customers waiting to have access to the facility. The man who made the video of the incident said the lady’s account with the unnamed bank was debited, so she brought her fetish priest (‘Babalawo’) boyfriend to fight for her. The impatient priest is seen peeping through as if he couldn’t wait to enter and make his case. Unfortunately, the bank reportedly denied the lady and her native doctors access. Bristow Helicopters sacks 100 pilots and engineers

Bristow Helicopters publicize the sack of over 100 pilots and engineers in its employ. In a statement released on Tuesday, August 4, the company said the workers laid off due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic on its operations.    Oluwayemisi Mafe, a victim of spousal abuse, has detailed how her wedding day turned out to be a sad day for her as it heralded years of abuse that left her feeling so alone and led to her mother’s death.   The marketing communications consultant said she married her husband after two years of courtship, so she thought she knew him well.
