Brothers arrested for gang-raping their 13-year-old cousin

Two brothers identified as Uchechukwu Asuzu, 20, and Bright Asuzu, 20 have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping their 13-year-old cousin, identified Ugochukwu Chigozirim Ehirim

The incident, according to reports, happened in Ezemanah Ezeamoruo Nkwerre, Imo State.

Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, said Chigozirim was raped after her grandfather angrily sent her out of their home.


According to him:

“Chigozirim who stays with her grandfather, was sent on an errand by her grandfather. Unfortunately, she returned home late, as a result, the grandfather sent her out of the house.

All efforts to gain entrance into the house proved abortive as her grandfather insisted that she will sleep outside, as a result she was stranded.

Uchechukwu and Bright who are cousins to the victim, lured her to their house under the pretext of accommodating her for the night but rather had canal knowledge of her in turns.”

Ikeokwu further revealed that the duo will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry. Nigerian-trained US-based medical doctor who went viral when she said she has cured hundreds of Covid-19 patients with hydroxychloroquine, has threatened Facebook for taking down her page following her viral interview.   Dr Stella Immanuel spoke out during a press conference at Washington. She stated that the antimalarial drug, hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and antibacterial drug, Zithromax were effective in the treatment of Coronavirus. Social media platforms like  Facebook  and  Twitter  as well as video streaming site, Youtube, have deleted videos by an American-based physician, Dr Stella Immanuel, who claimed to have recorded a 100 per cent success rate in the treatment of COVID-19 using hydroxychloroquine. The video was first published by Breitbart News, a right-wing medium co-founded by Steve Bannon, a former aide to American President, Donald Trump. In the video, which was shot in front of the United States Supreme Court, Dr Immanuel is seen with seven others wearing white lab coats calling themselves “America’s Frontline Doctors” and addressing the press. President Trump, who is up for reelection in November, shared multiple versions of the video with his 84 million  Twitter  followers on Monday night.
