Brothers arrested for gang-raping their 13-year-old cousin

Two brothers identified as Uchechukwu Asuzu, 20, and Bright Asuzu, 20 have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping their 13-year-old cousin, identified Ugochukwu Chigozirim Ehirim

The incident, according to reports, happened in Ezemanah Ezeamoruo Nkwerre, Imo State.

Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, said Chigozirim was raped after her grandfather angrily sent her out of their home.


According to him:

“Chigozirim who stays with her grandfather, was sent on an errand by her grandfather. Unfortunately, she returned home late, as a result, the grandfather sent her out of the house.

All efforts to gain entrance into the house proved abortive as her grandfather insisted that she will sleep outside, as a result she was stranded.

Uchechukwu and Bright who are cousins to the victim, lured her to their house under the pretext of accommodating her for the night but rather had canal knowledge of her in turns.”

Ikeokwu further revealed that the duo will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

  The trial of the owner and driver of the truck carrying an unlatched container that fell and crushed two workers of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Chidinma Ajoku, and her colleague, Chima Nnaekpe, and one other person, commenced at the Lagos State High Court on Thursday, August 20.   Chidinma and Chima boarded a commercial bus back home after the close of work on July 26. An Egyptian court has sentenced five young women to two years in prison for posting "indecent" dance videos on TikTok.     The prosecution statement named two of the defendants 20-year-old student Haneen Hossam and 22-year-old Mawada Eladhm and said the other three helped run their social media accounts.   The women were also fined 300,000 Egyptian pounds (A$26,000) each for "violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family," inciting debauchery and promoting human trafficking, according to a statement from the public prosecutor.   Haneen Hossam and Mawada Eladhm rose to fame though TikTok, amassing millions of followers for their video snippets which include sharing of footage of themselves wearing makeup, posing in cars, dancing in kitchens and making funny skits.   However, their social media stardom became their undoing in a country, where citizens can land in prison for vague crimes such as “misusing social media,” “disseminati...
