 They don?t recycle, they rinse - Tchidi Chikere fires back at follower over groundnut bottles picked from dustbin heap


Nollywood filmmaker, Tchidi Chikere has been dragged into an exchange with a follower over his comment about bottles used to sell groundnuts in the country. 

 

Chikere, who shared a photo of some unidentified people arranging some used bottles on the floor stated that they are bottles used to sell groundnuts across the country and are picked from the garbage heap. 

 

However, after being accused of "complaining about citizens trying to make ends meet in a legit way," the filmmaker fired back by saying that the bottles picked from dustbin heap were not recycled but rinsed.

  Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei,  the acting Managing Director of the Expanded Interim Management Committee, EIMC of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, says he is shocked that some Nigerians thought he was acting when he fainted while testifying before a House of Representatives public hearing on the alleged financial recklessness of the commission on July 20. Pondei  shocked Nigerians including the lawmakers when he slumped  during the hearing. Pondei passed out after he failed to defend the N1.3 billion he approved to provide COVID-19 palliative for members of the Commission. Nigerian students are now beggars in the UK- Abike Dabiri-Erewa asks NDDC to pay Nigerian students their scholarship allowances and fees

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, has appealed to the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to pay the allowances, tuition, and other incentives of students on its scholarship scheme in the United Kingdom as most of them have turned to beggars on the streets of the UK.   During the recent National Assembly probe of the NDDC, it was revealed that Nigerian students awarded scholarships to some universities in the United Kingdom, have been abandoned by the commission as they have not received a dime in allowance or school fees from the commission. Bristow Helicopters publicize the sack of over 100 pilots and engineers in its employ. In a statement released on Tuesday, August 4, the company said the workers laid off due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic on its operations.
