It all started with the upcoming music act tweeting a song with the twitter handle @iamanonymous9ja where he was begging to be signed,  prompting notorious twitter user @ewawunmi to throw bants equating him to a low budget lagbaja,  even going as far as declaring he would never get a record deal.

The ensuing uproar beamed a light on the act, who in no time had record labels gunning for him. Of which he has been offered a 5 million naira recording deal, a car and an apartment.

Jigawa chapter of NBA threatens to boycott association's AGM if the decision to withdraw El-Rufai’s invitation is not reversed

  The Jigawa state chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has threatened to boycott the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the bar if the decision to withdraw the invitation of Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai, is not reversed.   The NBA on Thursday, August 20, announced the withdrawal of Governor el-Rufai's invitation, following a protest by some lawyers who argued that the governor is well known for 'human rights abuse,' and therefore shouldn't be invited to their meeting.   In a statement released, the chairman of NBA in Jigawa state, Abubakar Garba, argued that the governor has not been given a fair hearing to defend himself from the allegations of human rights abuses some members of the profession leveled against him. Newly married soldier is shot dead by fellow military colleague in Borno

A newly married military officer was shot dead by his colleague in Borno state following a misunderstanding.   Lieutenant Babakaka Shehu Ngorgi of the 202 Battalion, who got married in December 2019, was talking to his wife Hauwa Alhaji Kolomi when one of his colleagues shot him from the back six times in Bama, Borno.   After shooting him, the attacker was reportedly heard screaming, "I have achieved my aim." It is not yet clear why the soldier killed Lt Ngorgi, who is his senior in the army and on the battlefield.    Friends have gone on various social media platforms to mourn Ngorgi.
