KILLING OF AID WORKERS IS TRAGIC AND DISHEARTENING - SHEHU SANI

A former Kaduna Central district Senator, Shehu Sani has strongly condemned the killing of aid workers by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State.

DAILY POST reported that the aid workers were kidnapped by Boko Haram Terrorists on June 20th and were executed on Wednesday.

In a video released by the armed group while executing the humanitarian workers, the terrorists said they executed the abducted aid workers living in their custody for a month in Borno state, having exhausted the days given for the ransom.

Reacting, Shehu Sani described the execution as ‘sad and tragic.’

He, therefore, called for the protection of all aid workers in the country.


“The execution of the five aid workers by the insurgents is sad and tragic. It’s a serious set back to the humanitarian intervention in the North East.

“Aid Workers must be protected & rescued by all means in times of trouble. May their souls Rest In Peace. Amin,” he said.

Popular Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has revealed that about 75% of rape cases her organization had handled were perpetrated by religious leaders. Truck that carried the container that crushed FAAN workers to death in Lagos had no road worthiness – VIS official tells court

  The trial of the owner and driver of the truck carrying an unlatched container that fell and crushed two workers of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Chidinma Ajoku, and her colleague, Chima Nnaekpe, and one other person, commenced at the Lagos State High Court on Thursday, August 20.   Chidinma and Chima boarded a commercial bus back home after the close of work on July 26. Sadly, the container on a truck fell on the commercial bus they boarded and crushed them to death. An Egyptian court has sentenced five young women to two years in prison for posting "indecent" dance videos on TikTok.     The prosecution statement named two of the defendants 20-year-old student Haneen Hossam and 22-year-old Mawada Eladhm and said the other three helped run their social media accounts.   The women were also fined 300,000 Egyptian pounds (A$26,000) each for "violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family," inciting debauchery and promoting human trafficking, according to a statement from the public prosecutor.   Haneen Hossam and Mawada Eladhm rose to fame though TikTok, amassing millions of followers for their video snippets which include sharing of footage of themselves wearing makeup, posing in cars, dancing in kitchens and making funny skits.   However, their social media stardom became their undoing in a country, where citizens can land in prison for vague crimes such as “misusing social media,” “disseminati...
