The position of HoH was assumed by a winner of the weekly task as instructed by “Biggie”. Housemates were assigned the task of selecting the Head of House after playing a Betway HoH game.

No life was lost after a boat capsized at Marine Police Head-quarter, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi on Tuesday night July 28. According to a statement released this morning by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, The boat capsized while en route Ikoyi from Ilashe after it t collided with an unidentified substance. A total of 10 persons(9 Adult males and a female) were involved in the incident and were rescued alive by the Marine Police in conjunction with LASEMA Response Team as no life was lost. The names of the victims are as follows Ogungbe Taiwo(Captain of the Boat) Ernest Abode Anjadick Emmanuel Isah Obima Ewere Mashack Bulus Oyefeso Oluwamayo Owoyemi Taiwo Peter Aina Oluwasanmi Lawal Gbolahan and Chinasa Temitope(female) The second boat was recovered from the water ten minutes after the first one which had 7 victims on board and the total number of victims rescued now 17 in number ( 16 Males and 1 female).

Taking to social media, some Nigerian man in Lagos state, lamented about their experience at the police cell. According to them, they were arrested for flouting the 10pm curfew put in place by the Federal government to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state. According to the men, there was heavy traffic in Lagos on Wednesday, so they couldn’t beat the curfew hour. The police officers enforcing the traffic in Ikeja arrested them and threw them in a crowded cell where none of the COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing was observed. Twitter user, Osinaike Joseph, who shared videos from the cell, alleged that the police officers refused to release some of them who were visibly sick. They accused the police of demanding bribe from them before their release. Veteran Yoruba actress Grace Oyin-Adejobi, popularly known as Iya Osogbo, will officially retire from acting when she clocks 90 on Sunday, August 23. Iya Osogbo is the widow of the late Yoruba actor Oyin Adejobi who died in 2000. During an appearance on a radio magazine programme on Space 90.1FM, Parrot Extra Hour on Radio, anchored by Olayinka Agboola in Ibadan, Oyo State, Iya Osogbo said she started her acting career some 67 years ago. She noted that she had already made her name before she acted in the movie Eran Iya Osogbo contrary to beliefs. The actress spoke for the first time about the day an excited fan nearly ran her car over her in Ibadan.
