Self-acclaimed "King of feminism", Solomon Buchi has denounced the movement and he gave reasons for his action.   Solomon Buchi has been a vocal feminist on Instagram and Twitter for years. He recently caused an uproar when he referred to himself as the "King of feminism".    Today, he announced that he no longer identifies with the "secular feminist institution" because of what "feminism has evolved into" and because it doesn't "corroborate the Gospel of Christ that saved me".   He also apologized to anyone he might have offended in the phase of his "passionate feminist advocacy."   He wrote: "From today, I cease to identify with the secular feminist institution. As a Christian, my journey as a passionate feminist was a tad labyrinthine because for what feminism has evolved into; some of the beliefs do not corroborate the Gospel of Christ that saved me.   "From sexual liberation to LGBTQ to prostitution and a fe

  Shola, a young Nigerian who was arrested for creating a Goodluck Jonathan parody Twitter account, has reacted following his release from prison.   Shola made it clear that he wasn't trying to impersonate the former Nigerian president because he indicated in his Twitter bio that it was a parody account.   He added that he shared a tweet on May 5 and was arrested on May 23 after his telecommunications service provider gave them his information without his consent.   He wrote: "The telecommunications service provider gave out my data without my consent which is really bad, my privacy was invaded. They got 5 numbers in which my uncle’s digit was among. They got to uncle’s place with guns."   He narrated how he was arrested, taken away like a criminal, and taken to SARS Ogbomosho from where he was transferred to SARS in Ibadan where he spent the night sleeping in the urine.   He was eventually transferred to Abuja by road, with his legs chained as though he were a dreaded cr

  The management of Abuja National Hospital is in search of the relatives of an unconscious man, pictured above, who was brought to the hospital after he was knocked down by a fast-moving vehicle along an airport road in the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday, August 18.   Anyone with useful information about the man should contact the hospital's Trauma Intensive Care Unit. 

  Nollywood filmmaker, Tchidi Chikere has been dragged into an exchange with a follower over his comment about bottles used to sell groundnuts in the country.    Chikere, who shared a photo of some unidentified people arranging some used bottles on the floor stated that they are bottles used to sell groundnuts across the country and are picked from the garbage heap.    However, after being accused of "complaining about citizens trying to make ends meet in a legit way," the filmmaker fired back by saying that the bottles picked from dustbin heap were not recycled but rinsed.   

  Actress Nse Ikpe-Etim came hard on a Twitter user this morning who made it her job to caution her about her dressing.   She shared the photo above on her Twitter handle, and a Nigerian man with the handle @IsaacNwaubani, appeared to be unsettled by the photo. Nse saw his comment and fired back at him, issuing him a stern warning never to leave such comments on her page again
