The parents of a three years old child, have been charged for manslaughter because they forgot him in their car and went to bed only to remember the following day when it was too late.

Dakota Fowler, 20, and Brandi Burks, 22, went to bed at midnight on Saturday, August 8, and forgot to get their son out of the car. They discovered him unresponsive in their vehicle 15 hours later, Franklin County police said.

Bentley Fowler, 3, was declared dead in Hodges, Alabama, at about 4 pm on Sunday.

The sheriff said he believed Bentley had died as a result of being left in a hot car, but a post-mortem at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences will establish the cause of death.

Officials said the parents told them they last saw the child around midnight on Saturday when they allegedly put the toddler to bed.

His parents told investigators they couldn’t find the boy when they woke up on Sunday afternoon and later discovered him inside the hot vehicle at 3pm.

Paramedics were called to the family home but were unable to resuscitate the child

The boys’ parents were charged with manslaughter and could face 20 years in prison if found guilty, reports Al.com

NJC recommends 22 judges to Buhari for appointment to Supreme Court and others

Although details of those suspended are yet to be made public,  TheCable  learnt that Olanipekun Olukoyede, secretary to the commission, is among those who received the letters.   A woman has been rescued from a septic tank three days after a man who stole her baby from her threw her in there.   The nursing mother, named Mrs Chizoba Eke was pulled alive but injured from the septic tank of an incomplete building located in Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.   Her attacker, simply identified as Chinedu was apprehended when he tried to traffic her six months old baby through Omerelu, Rivers border with Imo State.   Mrs Eke, the nursing mother was kidnapped from her home with her baby on August 17, 2020, and forced into a septic tank after a severe assault by her abductor.   The husband of the victim, Mr Eke, also alleged that Chinedu had attempted to rape his wife when she was pregnant with the newborn.   Mr Eke said, “I was invited by the police to come and identify our baby, having lodged a complaint when both my wife and baby went missing. A former Kaduna Central district Senator, Shehu Sani has strongly condemned the killing of aid workers by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State. DAILY POST reported that the aid workers were kidnapped by Boko Haram Terrorists on June 20th and were executed on Wednesday. In a video released by the armed group while executing the humanitarian workers, the terrorists said they executed the abducted aid workers living in their custody for a month in Borno state, having exhausted the days given for the ransom. Reacting, Shehu Sani described the execution as ‘sad and tragic.’ He, therefore, called for the protection of all aid workers in the country. “The execution of the five aid workers by the insurgents is sad and tragic.
