His post came hours after fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani, took to her IG page to throw shade at a housemate in the BBNaija Lockdown who she claimed to have dated her baby daddy, Lord Triggs.

Boko Haram releases video of ‘members observing Eid prayer in Niger state’

Some members of the Abubakar Shekau-led faction of Boko Haram in Niger state have been spotted in a viral video observing the Eid Al-Adha prayer in an undisclosed bushy area.   Though when the video was made is still unclear, the Eid Al-Adha was however celebrated by Muslim faithful across the globe on July 31.    In the viral video, three of the supposed insurgents sent Eid greetings in Hausa, English, and Fulfulde. One the men was heard saying;    “It is we the Jamahatu Ali Sunna li Dawatul Jihad in the location of Niger State. We want to send our Sallah salutation, first of all to our imam, Abu Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Abubakar Shekau."   Bulama Bukarti, an analyst and human rights lawyer who shared the video on Twitter, expressed concern that the insurgents may have killed some military officers and taken possession of their uniforms.   He tweeted;    The Shekau-led faction of BH has released its first video exclusively featur...

A banker has taken to his social media page to recount how a ride with his driver taught him lessons about personal finance. The banker, Bayo Adeyinka revealed that his driver, Mr Biliaminu Lawal who was a widower, single-handedly raised his three children, sent them to school, built a house and owns a car even though his salary was less that N40,000. Magu Probe: Olukoyede, EFCC Secretary, Suspended

Some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have received letters of suspension, TheCable understands. Although details of those suspended are yet to be made public,  TheCable  learnt that Olanipekun Olukoyede, secretary to the commission, is among those who received the letters. The development is not unconnected to the ongoing probe of Ibrahim Magu, suspended acting chairman of the EFCC. Magu was arrested on July 6 and whisked to the presidential villa in Abuja, where he appeared before a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the operations of the EFCC under him. The panel is headed by Ayo Salami, retired president of the appeal court. On July 14, Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), sent a letter to Mohammed Umar, acting EFCC chairman, notifying him of the suspension of 12 directors in the commission. Woman robbed of her baby and thrown into septic tank is rescued after three days

  A woman has been rescued from a septic tank three days after a man who stole her baby from her threw her in there.   The nursing mother, named Mrs Chizoba Eke was pulled alive but injured from the septic tank of an incomplete building located in Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.   Her attacker, simply identified as Chinedu was apprehended when he tried to traffic her six months old baby through Omerelu, Rivers border with Imo State.   Mrs Eke, the nursing mother was kidnapped from her home with her baby on August 17, 2020, and forced into a septic tank after a severe assault by her abductor.   The husband of the victim, Mr Eke, also alleged that Chinedu had attempted to rape his wife when she was pregnant with the newborn.   Mr Eke said, “I was invited by the police to come and identify our baby, having lodged a complaint when both my wife and baby went missing.   Movie producer Segun Ogungbe and his wives, Atinuke Ogungbe and Wunmi Ajiboye, took their new son,  Obafemi,  to church yesterday for his dedication unto God. Kemi Filani News recalls how Segun Ogunbe and his second wife, Wunmi Ajiboye, welcomed their second son in May. The newborn coincidentally arrived on the birthday of their first son, who was turning 5. Segun Ogungbe is married to two best friends, Atinuke and Wunmi Ajiboye, who is also an actor in the Yoruba movie genre. What makes their union even more interesting is the fact that they are always at peace with each other despite having to share love of one man.
