Tears as heroic combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile is buried (Photos)

The remains of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile has been laid to rest at the national military cemetery on Airport Road, Abuja.

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) had last week revealed that Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s First female combat helicopter pilot, was hit with a car driven by her ex-classmate

Tolulope Arotile died at age 24 as a result of head injuries she sustained from the accident, which happened at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state.

Daramola gave the name of Arotile’s ex-classmate who drove the vehicle that hit Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot as “Mr Nehemiah Adejoh”.

The NAF spokesperson also said the matter would be handed over to the Nigeria Police Force being a civil case.

An ambulance belonging to the Nigerian Air Force with registration number AF 442, had brought in the body of the heroic combat pilot, to the national military cemetery on Airport Road, Abuja.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; the House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla and the family members of the deceased were there to pay their last respects.

Student who created Goodluck Jonathan’s parody account, freed after 82 days in detention

  Olusola Babatunde, a final year student at Ladoke Akintola University and social media influencer who was arrested for creating a parody Twitter account of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been released after spending 82 days in detention.   Media personality and Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, announced his release via Twitter. A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry. Urey was said to have ‘struggled’ with medical school and finally got out successfully. Friends and family members have taken to social media to pen tributes to her.

  The father of a patient slapped and stabbed the medical doctor who was in charge of his child's case, it has been claimed.   A medical doctor narrated the story on Twitter as he discussed the "hazards" medical doctors are exposed to.   He wrote: "The kind of hazards Drs are exposed to is staggering!
