"Who be Yahoo Yahoo girl if no be you" Falz slams Diezani Alison-Madueke

Falz has slammed former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, for her statement about internet fraudsters becoming role models in Nigeria.

 

Diezani said while delivering a lecture at a virtual event: "The ones that have swag, the Yahoo Yahoo boys as my son would say; these, in short, are the role models they are looking at. These are the ones that reinforce negative societal norms and values."

 

Nigerians feel she has no moral standing to criticise internet fraudsters, considering that she has been accused of financial fraud allegedly committed while serving as a minister under the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

 

A number of people called Diezani out and singer Falz weighed in.

 

He shared a photo of the former minister and wrote: "You are on the run but your mouth still dey run. Who will be Yahoo Yahoo girl if no be you?"

Popular Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has revealed that about 75% of rape cases her organization had handled were perpetrated by religious leaders. Daramola-Salako disclosed this during an Instagram live session on Saturday while narrating how she was raped by her tenant when she was 17. American rapper, T.I has called out Kanye West for his recent statement during the presidential hopeful’s first campaign rally in South Carolina. Truck that carried the container that crushed FAAN workers to death in Lagos had no road worthiness – VIS official tells court

  The trial of the owner and driver of the truck carrying an unlatched container that fell and crushed two workers of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Chidinma Ajoku, and her colleague, Chima Nnaekpe, and one other person, commenced at the Lagos State High Court on Thursday, August 20.   Chidinma and Chima boarded a commercial bus back home after the close of work on July 26. Sadly, the container on a truck fell on the commercial bus they boarded and crushed them to death. Egypt court sentences five young women to prison for posting "indecent" dance videos on TikTok

An Egyptian court has sentenced five young women to two years in prison for posting "indecent" dance videos on TikTok.     The prosecution statement named two of the defendants 20-year-old student Haneen Hossam and 22-year-old Mawada Eladhm and said the other three helped run their social media accounts.   The women were also fined 300,000 Egyptian pounds (A$26,000) each for "violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family," inciting debauchery and promoting human trafficking, according to a statement from the public prosecutor.   Haneen Hossam and Mawada Eladhm rose to fame though TikTok, amassing millions of followers for their video snippets which include sharing of footage of themselves wearing makeup, posing in cars, dancing in kitchens and making funny skits.   However, their social media stardom became their undoing in a country, where citizens can land in prison for vague crimes such as “misusing social media,” “disseminati...
