Chikere, who shared a photo of some unidentified people arranging some used bottles on the floor stated that they are bottles used to sell groundnuts across the country and are picked from the garbage heap. However, after being accused of "complaining about citizens trying to make ends meet in a legit way," the filmmaker fired back by saying that the bottles picked from dustbin heap were not recycled but rinsed.

Shola, a young Nigerian who was arrested for creating a Goodluck Jonathan parody Twitter account, has reacted following his release from prison. Shola made it clear that he wasn't trying to impersonate the former Nigerian president because he indicated in his Twitter bio that it was a parody account. He added that he shared a tweet on May 5 and was arrested on May 23 after his telecommunications service provider gave them his information without his consent.
