Simi apologies to LGBTQ community for homophobic comments

Popular Nigerian singer, Simisola tendered and apology to the LGBTQ community in Nigeria for the homophobic comments she made earlier this year.

LGBTQ - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (or Queer)

Earlier this year mother of Adejare, Simi said homosexuality is not Natural, during her YouTube show, Stoopid Sessions;

from her statement

“They say they’re born that way, but I haven’t seen any biological proof,”.

The comment which the LGBTQ community finds offensive and lash at her saying she is being a hypocrite for sympathizing with abroad blackness while promoting 'local homophobic violence Against their own

Today 3rd of August 2020, Simi hase taken to her Twitter page to apologise for the earlier comment. According to her, she carelessly addressed the issue which is a matter of life and death.

Magu Probe: Olukoyede, EFCC Secretary, Suspended

Some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have received letters of suspension, TheCable understands. Although details of those suspended are yet to be made public,  TheCable  learnt that Olanipekun Olukoyede, secretary to the commission, is among those who received the letters. The development is not unconnected to the ongoing probe of Ibrahim Magu, suspended acting chairman of the EFCC. Magu was arrested on July 6 and whisked to the presidential villa in Abuja, where he appeared before a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the operations of the EFCC under him. The panel is headed by Ayo Salami, retired president of the appeal court. On July 14, Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), sent a letter to Mohammed Umar, acting EFCC chairman, notifying him of the suspension of 12 directors in the commission. Demitra “Mimi” Roche, who appeared on the Oxygen reality show “Bad Girls Club,” has passed away at the age of 34. Record producer and founder of Valholla Entertainment in Miami, where Roche had worked as vice president of A&R since 2011, announced her death via Twitter. “I’m at a loss for words. Self-acclaimed "King of feminism", Solomon Buchi has denounced the movement and he gave reasons for his action.   Solomon Buchi has been a vocal feminist on Instagram and Twitter for years.
