FORMER PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO AIMS TO LIVE BEYOND 100 YEARS

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed his wish to live above 100 years. 

 

The 83-year-old former Nigerian leader disclosed this at an event organized to mark the one-year anniversary of the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Sabur Bakare, Jamolu II.

 

Obasanjo advised the monarch to propagate unity among traditional rules in Yorubaland while speaking at the interdenominational service.


“I will be here to celebrate your 20 years anniversary with you whether I am invited or not.

“By the time I also partake in celebrating your 20th anniversary with you, if God wishes, He can call me to come and meet Him in heaven because I know by that time, I will be above 100 or more .

"There are times that Kabiyesi don’t listen to words and there are times he does listen to words. If we are united, there is nothing we can’t do in Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.”

A new mum whose stitches didn't heal for 8 months after childbirth has disclosed what was found in her body when she was referred to another doctor.   The mum said that for 8 months, she was dressing her wounds but it refused to heal. She explained that her doctor didn't take it seriously and kept telling her that it will heal eventually.   She was later referred to another doctor who then told her that something must be in there. She said surgery was scheduled and something that looks like a wire was found in her body.   See below.

Drake breaks Madonna’s record for most US Top 10 hits

Rapper and record producer, Drake has beaten Madonna’s record for the highest number of Top 10 hits in US chart history.   The Canadian born rapper broke the record after his collaboration with DJ Khaled, Popstar polled at No 3 while Greece charted at No 8 this week, bringing his total Top 10 hits to 40 and beating Madonna’s record of 38.   In March, he also broke the record for the most hits in the US Hot 100, at 208 but as at July that tally has now reached 224, aided by his most recent full-length release, Dark Lane Demo Tapes, which came out in May.
