Lala Akindoju has said she wishes Nigerian youths will give as much energy to politics as they give to Big Brother Naija. The actress said young people have to "do more to fight for our country". She added that she wishes young people will register and vote for elections with as much energy as they use in voting for BBNaija housemates.
Big Brother Naija Housemate, Nengi, has emerged the winner of first Head of House challenge for the ‘LockDown’ edition. The position of HoH was assumed by a winner of the weekly task as instructed by “Biggie”. Housemates were assigned the task of selecting the Head of House after playing a Betway HoH game.
Movie producer Segun Ogungbe and his wives, Atinuke Ogungbe and Wunmi Ajiboye, took their new son, Obafemi, to church yesterday for his dedication unto God. Kemi Filani News recalls how Segun Ogunbe and his second wife, Wunmi Ajiboye, welcomed their second son in May. The newborn coincidentally arrived on the birthday of their first son, who was turning 5. Segun Ogungbe is married to two best friends, Atinuke and Wunmi Ajiboye, who is also an actor in the Yoruba movie genre. What makes their union even more interesting is the fact that they are always at peace with each other despite having to share love of one man. Taylor Swift has donated over £23,000 to a teenager who started a GoFundMe appeal so she can go to University. Vitoria Mario, a Tottenham teenager, wants to become a mathematician. In her online appeal, she explained that despite being offered an unconditional place at the University of Warwick to study mathematics, she could not afford to take it up. Taylor Swift found her GoFundMe appeal and decided to make a generous donation while leaving a touching message for the teenager. Taylor wrote to the teen: "Vitoria, I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and dedication to turning your dreams into reality. \ On Wednesday, August 12, a Nigerian lady named Immaculate Okochu lost her life in an accident, weeks to her wedding leaving her groom-to-be shattered and in complete sadness. A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry. Urey was said to have ‘struggled’ with medical school and finally got out successfully. Friends and family members have taken to social media to pen tributes to her.
Nigerian-trained US-based medical doctor who went viral when she said she has cured hundreds of Covid-19 patients with hydroxychloroquine, has threatened Facebook for taking down her page following her viral interview. Dr Stella Immanuel spoke out during a press conference at Washington. She stated that the antimalarial drug, hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and antibacterial drug, Zithromax were effective in the treatment of Coronavirus.
