Nigerian students are now beggars in the UK- Abike Dabiri-Erewa asks NDDC to pay Nigerian students their scholarship allowances and fees

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, has appealed to the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to pay the allowances, tuition, and other incentives of students on its scholarship scheme in the United Kingdom as most of them have turned to beggars on the streets of the UK.   During the recent National Assembly probe of the NDDC, it was revealed that Nigerian students awarded scholarships to some universities in the United Kingdom, have been abandoned by the commission as they have not received a dime in allowance or school fees from the commission. A video of the scene has been making the rounds on social media in which the lady and her team of fetish priests are seen standing outside of the bank premises together with other customers waiting to have access to the facility. The man who made the video of the incident said the lady’s account with the unnamed bank was debited, so she brought her fetish priest (‘Babalawo’) boyfriend to fight for her. The impatient priest is seen peeping through as if he couldn’t wait to enter and make his case. Unfortunately, the bank reportedly denied the lady and her native doctors access.   The father of a patient slapped and stabbed the medical doctor who was in charge of his child's case, it has been claimed.   A medical doctor narrated the story on Twitter as he discussed the "hazards" medical doctors are exposed to.   He wrote: "The kind of hazards Drs are exposed to is staggering! In Nigeria, added to the well-known hazards, we have assaults from patient relatives added! A female Dr was slapped and stabbed with a syringe (of unknown origin) in our Children's Emergency by the patient's father.    Oluwayemisi Mafe, a victim of spousal abuse, has detailed how her wedding day turned out to be a sad day for her as it heralded years of abuse that left her feeling so alone and led to her mother’s death.   The marketing communications consultant said she married her husband after two years of courtship, so she thought she knew him well.
