 Ruth Kadiri advocates for death sentence to be given to politicians and public servants who misuse public funds


Ruth Kadiri is certainly not happy with the political situation in Nigeria and has taken to her Instagram page to vent.

 

In a post shared on her page today, August 13, the mum of one called for the abolishment of voting in Nigeria until death sentence laws are enacted against politicians and public servants who misuse Nigeria's funds.


''We should abolish voting in Nigeria until death sentence laws are given to politicians and public servants who misuse Nigeria’s funds. I said what I said.
Correct me if I’m wrong and tell me what your government has done for you'' she wrote

In a follow-up post, Ruth pointed out that the number one problem in Nigeria are the political parties who she earlier described as liars.

Magu Probe: Olukoyede, EFCC Secretary, Suspended

Some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have received letters of suspension, TheCable understands. Although details of those suspended are yet to be made public,  TheCable  learnt that Olanipekun Olukoyede, secretary to the commission, is among those who received the letters. The development is not unconnected to the ongoing probe of Ibrahim Magu, suspended acting chairman of the EFCC. Magu was arrested on July 6 and whisked to the presidential villa in Abuja, where he appeared before a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the operations of the EFCC under him. The panel is headed by Ayo Salami, retired president of the appeal court. On July 14, Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), sent a letter to Mohammed Umar, acting EFCC chairman, notifying him of the suspension of 12 directors in the commission. Demitra “Mimi” Roche, who appeared on the Oxygen reality show “Bad Girls Club,” has passed away at the age of 34. Contract splitting is rampant in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Niger Delta Affairs Minister Godswill Akpabio, said on Monday. According to him, the management of the agency indulges in splitting contracts to outwit the minister and evade approval. Speaking before the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta in Abuja, the minister alleged that the agency spent “over N4.2 billion in a day in tranches of N49 million.” The committee is probing how N40 billion was spent by the Interim Management Committee (IMC). Akpabio was invited with the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei. Pondei fainted during the proceedings and had to be revived and taken to the hospital.
