Netflix star Daisy Coleman died from 'self-inflicted gunshot wound' hours after officers were called to do a wellness check, it has been revealed.

 

It has been reported that Daisy, one of the teenage girls featured in the Netflix documentary "Audrie and Daisy" about multiple rape cases, died on Tuesday night August 4th (read here).

 

A new report states that she took her own life in Lakewood, Colorado.

 

Daisy Coleman's mother Melinda was gravely concerned about her daughter's state of mind shortly before her suicide, TMZ reports.

 

The worried mum called police to do a wellness check for a "possible suicidal party" at the residence. 

 

John Romero, spokesperson for Lakewood PD, said officers responded by sending paramedics and agents trained in crisis intervention to Daisy's apartment. 

 

Daisy was at the apartment around 4 PM that day when officers called to do a wellness check and she spoke to the agents for over an hour, but she never said anything or gave any indication she wanted to harm herself.

 

She was medically cleared and there was no legal reason to hold her due to mental health issues.

 

Unfortunately, police received another call around 8:30 PM from a female friend of Daisy's, reporting that she had shot herself inside the same apartment. Cops say Daisy used a pistol to fire the fatal shot.

 

Daisy was raped at the age of 14 in 2012 at a house party in Missouri, an incident that no one was prosecuted for to this day.

 

Just last year, Daisy's younger brother was killed in a car accident.

Gal Pissetzky, the legal representative of suspected Internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, has said the suspect is on his way to California, United States of America, for trial. He told The PUNCH on Wednesday night that Hushpuppi had not been released as being speculated in some quarters. Pissetzky, a Chicago lawyer, also noted that he was still his lawyer. “He has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Not everything you see on court documents is accurate. “Just because the jail record says ‘released’ does not mean he has been released. Man Accused Of Using Coronavirus Relief Funds To Buy $318k Lamborghini

A Florida man has been accused of fraudulently obtaining nearly $4 million from the Paycheck Protection Program and using part of the money to buy a $318,000 Lamborghini. The man, David T. Hines, 29, of Miami, was arrested Friday July 24 and charged with one count of bank fraud, one count of making false statements to a financial institution and one count of engaging in transactions in unlawful proceeds, the Department of Justice said in a news release. Federal agents seized the car, valued at $318,000, and $3.4 million from his bank accounts when he was arrested, the Justice Department said. The criminal complaint against Hines was unsealed on Monday July 27, upon his initial appearance before U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge John J. O’Sullivan in the Southern District of Florida. Singer Tamar Braxton has been rushed to hospital unresponsive after reports of heramid reports of a possible suicide attempt.
