Nanny 'slaps baby like a toy' in footage secretly filmed by parents (video)

A distressing video captured the moment a nanny beat a baby when he woke up crying.

 

The baby's 26-year-old dad, Mr Tian, said he saw the childminder slap his child's buttocks, feet and hands after watching security footage on his phone, according to police.

 

In a clip that has since gone viral on social media in China, the nanny, 50-year-old Wang Mou, appears to slap the crying baby's thighs as he lies on the bed.

 

More videos, recorded between July 31 and August 1, show the nanny apparently slapping the baby as he lies screaming in her arms. She is accused of hitting the child "like a toy."

 

The footage was recorded at his parents' home in the city of Shahe in northern China's Hebei province.

 

Mr Tian's wife uploaded the footage to the messaging platform WeChat where it was picked up and shared by influential Chinese bloggers and went viral on Weibo.

 

A police statement said that Mr Tian saw the footage for the first time on Saturday, August 1, at around 6pm and confronted the nanny the same day.

 

He then went to the nanny's agency with his older brother and complained about the alleged mistreatment of his son.

 

The brothers were then said to have a "dispute" with Ms Wang outside the company and one of the brothers is alleged to have hit her car with a tool.

 

Ms Wang then became frightened and went to the hospital for treatment, police said.

 

Officers said they were carrying out further investigations. They noted that they were treating the incident as an administrative case.

Gal Pissetzky, the legal representative of suspected Internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, has said the suspect is on his way to California, United States of America, for trial. He told The PUNCH on Wednesday night that Hushpuppi had not been released as being speculated in some quarters. Pissetzky, a Chicago lawyer, also noted that he was still his lawyer. “He has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Not everything you see on court documents is accurate. “Just because the jail record says ‘released’ does not mean he has been released. He is being transferred to California,” he told the PUNCH correspondent on the phone. Hushpuppi is facing trial for alleged Internet fraud.

Man Accused Of Using Coronavirus Relief Funds To Buy $318k Lamborghini

A Florida man has been accused of fraudulently obtaining nearly $4 million from the Paycheck Protection Program and using part of the money to buy a $318,000 Lamborghini. The man, David T. Hines, 29, of Miami, was arrested Friday July 24 and charged with one count of bank fraud, one count of making false statements to a financial institution and one count of engaging in transactions in unlawful proceeds, the Department of Justice said in a news release. Federal agents seized the car, valued at $318,000, and $3.4 million from his bank accounts when he was arrested, the Justice Department said. The criminal complaint against Hines was unsealed on Monday July 27, upon his initial appearance before U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge John J. O’Sullivan in the Southern District of Florida. The complaint alleges that Hines sought approximately $13.5 million in PPP loans through applications on behalf of several companies, the DOJ news release said. Singer Tamar Braxton has been rushed to hospital unresponsive after reports of heramid reports of a possible suicide attempt.   The Russian powerlifting champion fractured both of his knees while attempting to squat 400kg (880lb).    Defending champion Alexander Sedykh was competing in the World Raw Powerlifting Federation (WRPF) European Championships near Moscow when the terrifying incident occurred.   In the shocking video, Sedykh's legs can be seen shaking after holding the weight on his shoulders.
