 Buhari?s nephew, Daura, reportedly flown abroad for treatment


Mamman Daura, 79, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, was flown abroad on Wednesday, August 19, for urgent medical treatment after exhibiting symptoms similar to Coronavirus, according to SaharaReporters.

 

The publication added that Daura was flown to the United Kingdom.

 

“Daura, 79, was said to have been flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday after exhibiting respiratory difficulties with symptoms similar to Coronavirus since last Friday,” the report reads.

 

Daura made the trip, through the ban imposed on international flights to curb the spread of Covid-19 has not been lifted.

 

A Presidency source, however, told SaharaReporters that since Daura is not a government official, it would be wrong to expect any reaction from the government.

21-year-old man arrested for allegedly sodomizing underaged boys in Anambra

Anambra Police arrested a twenty-one-year-old named Obimeze Maduabuchi Augustine,  of Ofianta village, Nsugbe, in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state for allegedly having carnal knowledge of two small boys, aged five and seven respectively. A statement from the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, said Obimese was arrested by detectives attached to B' Division, Akwa, following a tip-off. According to the statement, the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime and blamed his actions on peer group Haruna said the state commissioner of police, CP John B. Abang, had ordered the transfer of the case to the state criminal investigation department (CID) for discreet investigations after which the suspect would be charged to court.

Gunmen abduct Ex-commissioner’s children and NSCDC officer in Zamfara

Gal Pissetzky, the legal representative of suspected Internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, has said the suspect is on his way to California, United States of America, for trial. He told The PUNCH on Wednesday night that Hushpuppi had not been released as being speculated in some quarters. Pissetzky, a Chicago lawyer, also noted that he was still his lawyer. “He has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Two young boys burnt to death over alleged phone theft in Kenya

Outrage is ongoing on social media after two boys were burnt to death for allegedly stealing a phone in Kenya. According to reports, the incident happened at the Komarock Estate in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday 8th August.
