Sarz - Memories That Last Forever (EP)

Memories That Last Forever (MTLF) is the first instalment of the result of the intense one-month training for the selected producers of 2018 Sarz Academy session.

The producers were paired with each of the artistes to produce this 6 tracked EP. With each producer exploring varying genres from Afro-pop, House and RnB, Sarz supervises each producer into delivering a top tier production with their dream artistes.

From the female duo both producer and artiste -Dunnie x Niniola- on the house influenced record "Gbewa" to the worldwide pop record by Wizkid "Hold Me," the heavy dancehall number "Global" by Tempoe and Jahblend, the mid-tempo vibe record "Forever" by Sarz and Tiwa Savage to the brutal street pop records "Wa Je" and "Ma Lo Wa" by Dapo Tuburna and Zlatan respectively, MTLF delivers a well-rounded project showcasing the future curators of African sounds.

Twitter user recounts how a lady suffering from PTSD after her niece got missing, accosted him after seeing him pull his annoyed little niece

A Nigerian man has shared his experience with a lady who stopped on the road to interrogate him after she saw him walking around with his disgruntled niece. According to Twitter user @Ebuka_Eclat, he was walking along the road in Lagos with his niece who was visibly angry when the lady stopped and took her time to inquire who the ''angry child'' was to him. The lady went as far as speaking with the mother of the child to ensure he wasn't about to abduct the child. After her painstaking interview, the lady informed him that her niece was abducted a few years ago and has never been found and that this has made her develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD. Gunmen abduct Ex-commissioner’s children and NSCDC officer in Zamfara

Several unknown gunmen have abducted the two sons of Bello Dankande, a former Zamfara commissioner alongside an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The incident, which took place at Dankande’s residence in Gamji, Bakura local government area of the state on Tuesday August 18, left one person dead and a woman with injuries. Spokesperson of Zamfara state police command, Muhammad Shehu who confirmed the incident said police officers are already on the trail of the kidnappers. He said; “At about 4:30am, a large number of armed men invaded the house and kidnapped two of his children and two others including an NSCDC officer on guard duty at the house. “One person was shot dead, while a woman was wounded in the process. “The Command further assures the former commissioner and indeed all the people of the state that it would do everything possible to get the abductees released and back ...

Two airplanes collide at Lagos airport

A wing tip accident was witnessed at the cargo area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Wednesday July 29. The accident occurred when a Middle East Airlines plane was coming to park on the apron while a Turkish Airlines aircraft was taxiing out. Passengers on the Turkish Airlines flight were made to disembark and it was further learnt that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have been notified and would issue a statement on the incident.

A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. According to report, Urey who was a 2019 Batch B stream 2 corper, was involved in a fatal accident at Onne, Rivers state, on her way returning back home. Reports have it that the trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. Urey was a graduate of Imo state University, department of Optometry. Urey was said to have ‘struggled’ with medical school and finally got out successfully. Friends and family members have taken to social media to pen tributes to her.

21-year-old man arrested for allegedly sodomizing underaged boys in Anambra

Anambra Police arrested a twenty-one-year-old named Obimeze Maduabuchi Augustine, of Ofianta village, Nsugbe, in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state for allegedly having carnal knowledge of two small boys, aged five and seven respectively. A statement from the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, said Obimese was arrested by detectives attached to B' Division, Akwa, following a tip-off. According to the statement, the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime and blamed his actions on peer group Haruna said the state commissioner of police, CP John B. Abang, had ordered the transfer of the case to the state criminal investigation department (CID) for discreet investigations after which the suspect would be charged to court.

Hushpuppi not released yet, says US lawyer

Gal Pissetzky, the legal representative of suspected Internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, has said the suspect is on his way to California, United States of America, for trial. He told The PUNCH on Wednesday night that Hushpuppi had not been released as being speculated in some quarters. Pissetzky, a Chicago lawyer, also noted that he was still his lawyer. “He has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Not everything you see on court documents is accurate. “Just because the jail record says ‘released’ does not mean he has been released. He is being transferred to California,” he told the PUNCH correspondent on the phone. Hushpuppi is facing trial for alleged Internet fraud.

Taylor Swift has donated over £23,000 to a teenager who started a GoFundMe appeal so she can go to University. Vitoria Mario, a Tottenham teenager, wants to become a mathematician. In her online appeal, she explained that despite being offered an unconditional place at the University of Warwick to study mathematics, she could not afford to take it up. Taylor Swift found her GoFundMe appeal and decided to make a generous donation while leaving a touching message for the teenager.
