Rapper Doja Cat contracted Coronavirus after saying "she didn't give a f***" about the virus

Doja Cat has revealed that she contracted COVID-19 but has made a full recovery after a four-day ordeal.

 

This comes after the 24-year-old American rapper, whose real name is Amalaratna "Amala" Zandile Dlamini, downplayed the virus and said "she didn't give a f***' about the pandemic.

 

Speaking to Capital XTRA, the musician explained that she had a "freakout" of symptoms that lasted four days. She didn't say when she came down with the virus but speculated that she had contracted it through a food delivery service.

 

"I got COVID," Doja Cat said.

 

"Honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it, but I got it.”

 

The songstress added: "I’m okay now. It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now."

 At the start of the pandemic, during an Instagram Live, Doja Cat compared COVID-19 to the flu and seemingly shamed people who were taking precautions against the virus.

 

She said back in March: "Bit**, I’m not scared of a coronavirus or the motherf***ing beer version of that s**t."

 

She added: "I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona cos I don’t give a f*** about corona, b****. It’s a flu. I’m not scared. Y’all are p****."

 

She continued: "You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep — that’s all you gotta do. Y’all are so scared of some damn corona. Y’all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona."

  Nollywood filmmaker, Tchidi Chikere has been dragged into an exchange with a follower over his comment about bottles used to sell groundnuts in the country.    Chikere, who shared a photo of some unidentified people arranging some used bottles on the floor stated that they are bottles used to sell groundnuts across the country and are picked from the garbage heap.    However, after being accused of "complaining about citizens trying to make ends meet in a legit way," the filmmaker fired back by saying that the bottles picked from dustbin heap were not recycled but rinsed.

A Nigerian doctor, Urey, who just passed out from National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Thursday, July 16th, has died. Police arrest former dispatch riders for attempting to snatch vehicle from an Uber driver

Two former dispatch riders identified as Sule Abdulkareem and Celestine Joseph have been arrested by the Lagos state police for attempting to dispossess an Uber driver of his vehicle in Anthony Village area of the state.    They were arrested by SARS operatives at Anthony-Oke area of the state, while looking for a more deserted part of the area to launch an attack on the driver.   The two suspects who both confessed to attempting to rob the driver, claimed they had wanted to use the vehicle as collateral for a loan to start up a business. No life lost as boat with 10 passengers capsizes in Lagos (photos)

No life was lost after a boat capsized at Marine Police Head-quarter, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi on Tuesday night July 28.   According to a statement released this morning by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, The boat capsized while en route Ikoyi from Ilashe after it t collided with an unidentified substance. A total of 10 persons(9 Adult males and a female) were involved in the incident and were rescued alive by the Marine Police in conjunction with LASEMA Response Team as no life was lost. The names of the victims are as follows Ogungbe Taiwo(Captain of the Boat) Ernest Abode Anjadick Emmanuel Isah Obima Ewere Mashack Bulus Oyefeso Oluwamayo Owoyemi Taiwo Peter Aina Oluwasanmi Lawal Gbolahan and Chinasa Temitope(female) The second boat was recovered from the water ten minutes after the first one which had 7 victims on board and the total number of victims rescued now 17 in number ( 16 Males and 1 female).
