Its a boy! OAP Toolz and husband Tunde Demuren welcome their second child

OAP Tolu Oniru-Demuren aka Toolz, and her husband, Captain Tunde Demuren, are proud parents again, as they have welcomed their second child, a boy.

 

The excited mum shared a video from her maternity shoot as she announced the good news via her Instagram page.

 

Toolz and Tunde, who got married in June 2016, welcomed their first child in December 2018.

NJC recommends 22 judges to Buhari for appointment to Supreme Court and others

  The National Judicial Council has recommended the appointment of more judges for the Supreme Court and other courts following its second virtual meeting held on August 11 and 12, 2020.   NJC's Director of Information, Mr Soji Oye, said the council presided over by its chairman, who is also the Chief Justice of Nigeria Tanko Muhammad, recommended a total of 22 judicial officers across various courts, including the Supreme Court, following a steady decline in the number of its justices in the last two years.   Four of the nominees were appointed to the Supreme Court   while the others were nominated to other Nigerian courts.   The statement read:  • NJC recommends appointment of four (4) Justices, Supreme Court of Nigeria, three (3) Heads of Court, eleven (11) Judges for State High Courts and four (4) Kadis, of Sharia Court of Appeal; The National Judicial Council under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon...

A banker has taken to his social media page to recount how a ride with his driver taught him lessons about personal finance. The banker, Bayo Adeyinka revealed that his driver, Mr Biliaminu Lawal who was a widower, single-handedly raised his three children, sent them to school, built a house and owns a car even though his salary was less that N40,000. Magu Probe: Olukoyede, EFCC Secretary, Suspended

Some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have received letters of suspension, TheCable understands. Although details of those suspended are yet to be made public,  TheCable  learnt that Olanipekun Olukoyede, secretary to the commission, is among those who received the letters. The development is not unconnected to the ongoing probe of Ibrahim Magu, suspended acting chairman of the EFCC. Magu was arrested on July 6 and whisked to the presidential villa in Abuja, where he appeared before a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the operations of the EFCC under him. The panel is headed by Ayo Salami, retired president of the appeal court. On July 14, Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), sent a letter to Mohammed Umar, acting EFCC chairman, notifying him of the suspension of 12 directors in the commission. Woman robbed of her baby and thrown into septic tank is rescued after three days

  A woman has been rescued from a septic tank three days after a man who stole her baby from her threw her in there.   The nursing mother, named Mrs Chizoba Eke was pulled alive but injured from the septic tank of an incomplete building located in Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.   Her attacker, simply identified as Chinedu was apprehended when he tried to traffic her six months old baby through Omerelu, Rivers border with Imo State.   Mrs Eke, the nursing mother was kidnapped from her home with her baby on August 17, 2020, and forced into a septic tank after a severe assault by her abductor.   The husband of the victim, Mr Eke, also alleged that Chinedu had attempted to rape his wife when she was pregnant with the newborn.   Mr Eke said, “I was invited by the police to come and identify our baby, having lodged a complaint when both my wife and baby went missing. A former Kaduna Central district Senator, Shehu Sani has strongly condemned the killing of aid workers by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State. DAILY POST reported that the aid workers were kidnapped by Boko Haram Terrorists on June 20th and were executed on Wednesday. In a video released by the armed group while executing the humanitarian workers, the terrorists said they executed the abducted aid workers living in their custody for a month in Borno state, having exhausted the days given for the ransom. Reacting, Shehu Sani described the execution as ‘sad and tragic.’ He, therefore, called for the protection of all aid workers in the country. “The execution of the five aid workers by the insurgents is sad and tragic. It’s a serious set back to the humanitarian intervention in the North East. “Aid Workers must be protected & rescued by all means in times of trouble. May their souls Rest In Peace. Amin,” he said.
